In the land of fairy tales and rainbows.

Our story began in 2018 when we met through a mutual friend. We ended up exchanging numbers, conversations, and a few moments together.

We soon realized that we weren’t ready for any commitment at the time and parted ways.

Time passed, and we reconnected again in 2020. Our conversations led to dates and seeing more of each other.

As life had it, COVID struck and everything changed. But that didn’t stop us love birds.

Instead, it grew our passion and interest even more—lockdown became the best couple of months for us.

We got to spend more time together, got to know each other's hopes, dreams, aspirations—even the frills and tricks!

On the 5th of November 2020, Demster asked Emogene to be his girlfriend.

As the years passed, we spent Christmases, Valentine’s Days, vacations, and family days making beautiful memories with our loved ones.

It was during that time that Demster realized—Emogene is THE ONE!

Demster reached out to Rainel, Kevin, and Kelly to help plan our beautiful surprise engagement.

Keeping it a surprise, though, was a nail-biting experience (as Demster describes) because nothing gets past me! I even found the till slip of the engagement ring purchase—trust Demster to nearly ruin the whole surprise. I knew something was brewing, but didn’t know when or where to expect it.

I tried snooping around, but the planning committee wasn’t about to let anything slip.

We flew out to Pretoria to celebrate my birthday—but little did I know, I'd come back a fiancée.

On the 29th of October 2023, I walked into the engagement setting.

Waiting at the center of it all was Demster—all giddy and ready to declare his love and ask for my hand in marriage.
